Another cool project of Geoff Barrow. Nice for a conceptual art party. Trust was also ok and energetic, but not so interesting as Anika.

Glücksfälle – Störfälle
What: Exposition
Where: Museum for Kommunikation
Nice expo about the differences in communication between different cultural backgrounds. Nice to see how this difference can leed to misunderstandings. Also good to realize how much of our interpretation of gestures comes from culture.

Däumelinchen
What: Kinder theater
Where: Varia Vineta Theater
Who: Sonia Ortiz and others
Very sweet and i think lovely for little children, but for me to traditional. I think also for little children you can create a more abstract and exciting form of theatre.
Reichstag
What: Audiotour
Where: German Bundestag
Worth a visit! beautiful architecture and a great view over the city. The audio tour tells you a lot about Berlin. interesting!

What: Photo Expo
Where: Alfred Ehrhardt Stiftung

Just trees, but so interesting because of color, light and composition.
WOW
What: Sound installation
Where: St.-Johannes-Evangelist-Ki
Who: Heavy Listening
WOW is a vinyl record containing a single ultra-low frequency which will alter slightly depending on the mechanical components of your record player. Use more than one system to play several records simultaneously and the air around you will start pulsating.
It was interesting to feel what a physical experience sound can create.
Animal Collective
What: Concert
Where: Astra
Who: Animal Collective
I was a bit disappointed because off the lack of energy on the stage and to many equipment errors. have seen them way and way better than this…
Fink
Geisterbahn
What: Theatre / Opra
Where: HAU 1
Who: Wunderbaum
A brilliant theatre performance with a lot of comments on how the world of theatre works. The struggle of theatre makers to say something about the world. To want to do something good. But what can you do? how can you make people listen? the only thing you can do is keep rehearsing. Wunderbaum is a great example of the dutch way of making theatre. Its is the open, tong in cheek way of creating that i miss in German serious theatre.
Geschlossene Gesellschaft
What: Fotoexpo
Where: Berlinische Galerie
Who: Diverse photographers from east Berlin GDR time
Interesting to see the work related to the moment in time. It all made more sense after watching a documentary about the live as an artist in those days of extreme government control.
Neueröffnung HAU
What: Theatre
Where: Hebbel am Ufer
Who: Miet Warlop | Wunderbaum | Schwalbe
three totally different performances. But all interesting. Miet Warlop makes a performance with moving objects that create a story. Wünderbaum made a play specially for the reopening of HAU about reopening a theatre in Berlin and what the people on the streets want to see in the theatre. Nice to see some saucy dutch theatre in Berlin. the way they play with theatre codes is great! Schwalbe made an interesting play about people fighting. What starts as a game becomes more and more serious. Appointments about what is real and what is theatre fade.
Archive (again)

Who: Archive
For the second time in Berlin. What a great band with a massive sound! especialy live!

Über Jungs
What: Jugend Theatre
Where: Grips

Nice how they have diepend the karakters and there motives. Play could be 30 minutes shorter. Its good how they use a lot of different theatre techniques to keep rhythm of the play and the attention of the audience. Great scenografie.

Nice feel good film. Makes me wish i was a bit less prejudiced.
Ein Volksfeind
What: Theatre

Very well played political theatre. This is how you should make an older play say something about our present time. very nice mix of traditional and modern theatre.
Wild Wedding
What: Party
Where: Brunnen 70
Who: diverse dj’s
Another sweaty, stinky, underground Berlin venue to get lost in. Love it!
Naturkunde Museum

Especially liked the dinosaur section, the insects and the minerals kabinet. Always nice to get amazed again by all the beauty and ugliness that nature has to offer.

Blaudzun was beautiful and Reptile Youth had an amazingly energetic performance.
Berlin Art Week
What: Art Fairs

All 3 fairs showed to much “nice art to put on your wall at home” Preview Berlin had the most interesting artists who dared to go a bit further.
